Services Employed: Architectural Design, Interior Design
CLIENT: Senior Resource Group
CLIENT GOAL: Expand the continuum of care services offered to the residents of the Charbonneau planned residential community.
DESIGN RESPONSE: Sited adjacent to the Springridge Independent Living development, Springridge Court has 70 assisted living units and 14 special care units for memory impaired residents. Using a Northwest vernacular, the building is primarily wood shake with stone and wood accents, providing a warm residential character. The interior design continues the theme, using tile, wood and laminated beams in resident activity areas. Accommodating residents with limited mobility, the carefully landscaped site allows pleasant walkway loops at the building perimeter, while the dining area opens to a protected courtyard. Apartments are spacious one and two bedroom designs, allowing residents to maintain their preferences for furniture and decor.
